A Handmade Nativity: Pottery Workshop

Class Description
Create a meaningful piece of holiday décor with your own two hands. In this special handbuilding workshop, you’ll create a ceramic nativity scene featuring Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and a star, inspired by the simple, sculptural style shown in our class sample. We’ll guide you step-by-step as you form each figure from clay and bring the pieces together into one beautiful scene. The simple shapes make this project approachable for beginners, while all the little handmade differences give each nativity its own character. After class, your nativity will stay with us to dry and be fired. We’ll glaze the entire piece in a classic white glaze for you, giving it a timeless finish that lets the handmade forms and details shine. No pottery experience is needed. All clay, tools, instruction, glazing, and firings are included. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately two weeks after class.
Cancellation Policy
Booking & Cancellations We get it—plans change! You may cancel your class up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund or to reschedule to a future class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before class are not eligible for a refund, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a friend—just send us an email to let us know who's coming in your place. No-shows without notice will not be refunded. Finished Work Pickup Pieces are created during class and bisque fired once fully dry. Then, you will finish your piece during a scheduled Community Glaze Session. After glazing, pieces are glaze fired and ready for pickup in about two weeks. We’ll send an email once it’s out of the glaze kiln. We’ll hold onto finished pieces for 60 days before we need to make room for new creations. What to Bring All tools and materials are provided. Just wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on, and bring your creative energy! 🎨💫
